News of Gingrich’s death has been Greatly Exagerated!

I was about ready to write Newt off, and I had lots of company.  Then, last night he probably posted his best of an already stellar string of debate performances.  Watch him take Fox New’s liberal Juan Williams to the woodshed.

Someone remind me again about how Newt is “unelectable.”  I don’t care who the moderator is, can you imagine him debating Obama?  Remind me again why we’re supposed to shun a candidate who once said some conditional nice things about Romneycare, in favor of the guy who actually PASSED Romneycare.  Remind me how it is that the guy who has actually accomplished more for the conservative agenda than all the rest of the Republican candidates combined can’t be trusted as a “real” conservative, or is supposed to be a “closet-Progressive.”

I’m not trying to endorse Gingrich for the nomination, in fact I think either he or Romney would be an enornous upgrade over Obama, and we should be enthused at the possibility of either of them replacing him.  What I am trying to point-out is how silly and irresponsible some of the criticism of Gingrich has been.  If you think any one of our current candidates is free of warts or baggage that can be readily and effectively attacked by Obama and the media, forgive me, but you are seriously deluding yourself.  Gingrich however has consistently shown an ability to not only effectively defend himself, but to turn the tables on his attackers and leave them the ones looking foolish.

Watch the video above.  Regardless of who your favorite candidate might be, if you are a conservative at heart, you will want to stand up and cheer.

  1. Greg, Thank You for taking notice at my fav candidate. He will be a strong leader. Truly this our chance, could be the last chance to get it right. As a Historian Mr. Gingrich understands how our core values need to be put back in place. In the debate last night he did’t give in to political correctness to appease any certain demographic, he did’t sutter and he didn’t let the moderators stop him.
    Thanks Again

Fox News used “Juan Williams” last night to ask a race baited question.

Now hear me out. If you have followed Juan, he is Liberal…but fair, IMHO. Now watch what has never been done before, FOX NEWS actually covered the audience reaction to the answer Juan asked Newt. The audience was applauding so much that the camera takes a tight shot to Newt. Listen to that audience!! Camera, tight shot on Juan, then back to Gingrich. Listen to SOUTH CAROLINA!! Fox News…actually shows the audience for another quick shot!! They are beginning to give Newt a standing “O”. ***What???** What were they thinking??? They are showing SUPPORT for Newt, but that is “NOT” the media’s candidate or the GOP’s candidate. Mitt is!! What were they thinking?? LOL Bret Baier couldn’t get to commercial fast enough. As he does take a commercial break, even Bret couldn’t ignore the standing O that Newt was getting. Check out Bret’s reaction. BTW, this standing ovation lasted the entire time that the station went to commercial. **BUT THAT IS NOT THEIR CANDIDATE!! OMG!! What to do now??

Again, my contention is: They used Juan to ask the slanted question with ethnicity in it as well as ‘poor’ to get more hype. Wonder what Newt’s answer rated on “The Richter Magnitude Scale”??? Newt’s answer: “No…I don’t see that”. (and neither do I)!!!

Newt: “I know among the Politically Correct you’re not supposed to use FACTS that are uncomfortable”….

    Audience erupts!!

THE MEDIA IS CORRUPT!!! But Newt Gingrich’s answer was right on!! I would bet Mitt is not too happy that these clips are all over the internet. With all that money he has spent on ad’s and then….”THIS”….aahahahahahhaaa!!!

Goodness knows, if Gingrich got a chance to debate Obama, he would annihilate him. And if this thing were just based on debating, Gingrich would already be president!

    • Chirs,
Romney once again same thing he did in the campaign 2008 will use another candidates ideals at the last moment. As someone that follows the candidates very closely.

Well, certainly candidates have indeed lost the election based solely on a bad debate. More than once I might add.

Rick Perry actually would probably make a decent president. But his debate performances pretty much foreclosed on that possibility.

All I heard was a mob who do not like a black man and applause for a man who does not know the truth. http://video.foxnews.com/v/1400387793001/

You ought to be ashamed of yourself, Ms. Sanders, for imputing racism to an entire group of people whom you have never met. It is a monstrous calumny, not fit for civil discourse.

I normally delete such mindless comments like this with the spam, but I decided to leave this one up, because it so sadly illustrates what passes for intelligent thought by much of the political left these days. No attempt to discuss the merits of the topic, no analysis or meaningful criticism. Just lump everyone who disagrees with Obama together as a bunch of racists. As Chris said, it’s shameful, but oh so revealing.
